Bohan Peng's concept chair was conceived in 2023 as part of his Royal College of Art MA graduation show. Originally shown with several of his other extraordinary futuristic designs at The Truman Gallery in London's Brick Lane, 'the Hugging Chair aims to externalise the human subconsciousness in order to re-create a sense of comfort through the art of hugging.'

Consisting of a brushed chrome metal frame, the chair's orange cushion is made from rubber latex which vibrates when the chair is plugged in to create the feeling of an embrace.

Modern design meets conceptual art in this head-turning piece which carried a hefty price of £6999 when it was first unveiled to the public. One of a small handful of 'Hugging Chairs' commissioned this a super rare piece offered in very good condition.
